Female Professional Wrestling in Japan, called Joshi, has been around for decades and for many years was just as popular as men's professional wrestling was in Japan. Since the late-90s the popularity of Joshi has fallen, but there are still a number of Joshi promotions running. Having a complete section for Joshi would be just as time consuming as running the part of Puroresu Central I already do, but I don't want to ignore such a large part of puroresu history. Below I have a number of profiles mostly from the heyday of Joshi to help you learn about some of the more famous wrestlers over the years. This is not a complete list of Joshi wrestlers by any stretch of the imagination, but rather highlights many of the main players from the last 30 years.
