K-DOJO "CLUB-K SUPER take"
Express Review by Kevin Wilson
Date: June 9th, 2009
We are trying out a new review style that will be done for smaller promotions and smaller shows from the big promotions. K-DOJO is TAKA Michinoku's promotion which he has had open for many years. They are small but have helped create a few stars over the years and their shows generally have a pretty fun feel. Here is the full card:
- Boso Boy Raito, Hardcore Kid Kojiro, and Yuu Yamagata vs. Kunio Toshima, Ryuichi, and Tadanobu Fujisawa
First few matches will just have some condensed comments, and we will kick it into high gear for the championship matches and the Suzuki tag match.
Boso Boy Raito, Hardcore Kid Kojiro, and Yuu Yamagata vs. Kunio Toshima, Ryuichi, and Tadanobu Fujisawa
Match Thoughts: I don't know who all these wrestlers are, but it a fun opening match from what was shown. Course that was only about two minutes, but the match itself was only four so not much was cut out. Just a fast paced opener to get the crowd warmed up. Score: N/A
Taishi Takizawa, Hiro Tonai, and Randy Takuya vs. Yuji Hino, Saburo Inematsu, and Bambi
Match Thoughts: I like how K-DOJO mixes in the women with the men. They don't do anything unrealistic but it adds a new element to the match and the women come across as tough enough to hold their own in a match. I didn't get the impression that Bambi was very good, but at least it was different. I don't think I have seen Hino before, which is probably a crime, he is fun to watch. Takizawa and company controlled much of the match until Hino powerbombed Takuya into oblivion to pick up the win. I had no idea Hino was such a big dude. Many of the bit part players came across as below average and clearly need more training but the ones that were meant to shine did, so no major complaints. Score: 4.0
Brahman Shu and Kei (c) vs. JOE and Quiet Storm vs. Kashiwa and PSYCHO
