B-I Cannon
Promotion History: JWA (1967 to 1971) Biggest Matches: Career Highlights: In 1967, no one knew that the two young members of B-I Cannon would become two of the most important figures in puroresu history (behind only Rikidozan himself). Already showing a lot of promise as Rikidozan's two young students, Giant Baba was the leader and Inoki was his second. They formed a formidable tag team however from 1967 to 1971, winning the NWA International Tag Team Championship on four occasions. The team would break up when Inoki left New Japan in 1971, and Giant Baba would team with Seiji Sakaguchi after that. In 1972, Inoki formed New Japan and Giant Baba formed All Japan, and the two would only team up one other time the rest of their careers as they became the two greatest stars in Japan. |
