Manabu Suruga, formally known as Manabu Hara, was a promising wrestler on the independent scene just a few years ago. A shoot-style wrestler often presented as the pupil of Katsumi Usuda, Hara had been consistently working in BattlARTS and U-Style as well as appearing on a semi-regular basis in ZERO-1 before joining the ambitious BML project, which miserably failed in a matter of a few months. After that, Hara's career started slowly declining. In 2010 Hara switched his ring name to “Suruga.”

Manabu Suruga has been regularly working in FUTEN since 2005.
