Shadow WX debuted in 1995 in IWA Japan as Satoru Shiga. Shadow WX joined Big Japan in 1999 and soon became one of the top wrestlers of the promotion. After some years of staying in the mid/upper card, Shadow WX was able to return to the main event and won the Death Match Heavyweight Championship for the 4th time in 2008.
