Styles has made occasional appearances in Japan. He lost to Low Ki in Zero-One in 2003, he defeated Petey Williams in Big Mouth LOUD in 2005, and in 2008 at the Tokyo Dome he scored a pinfall victory over Milano Collection AT in a six man tag match. He also got a singles match against Hiroshi Tanahashi but he would come up short.
