Cause of Death: Heart Failure
Famous Matches and Storylines:  Toyonobori will best be remembered as the former President of the JWA that split away from the promotion to create Tokyo Pro Wrestling, taking a young Antonio Inoki with him. The promotion would fail however and Toyonobori lost much of his power in Japan. Before retiring in 1970, Toyonobori was a four time All Asia Tag Team Champion with the great Rikidozan. He also wrestled in the IWE briefly after Tokyo Pro was disbanded, which was the promotion he was wrestling in when he retired.
