Barry Windham did not travel to Japan until after he was under contract for WCW. He took part in the New Japan 1992 G1 Climax, but he lost in the first round to Keiji Mutoh. He also wrestled on the 1991 Starrcade at the Tokyo Dome Show, teaming with Arn Anderson to defeat Chono and Saito.
